@hansen Too early for you?πŸ˜‚ We missed you. I was hoping to strike up some debate for old time's sake. My summary was - take risks.

Life happens πŸ™‚ We'll be posting the Midway discussion video very soon (by EOW) and you can comment on that post with your ideas/questions/takeaways @hansen@hansen (you too @will-smith@will-smith) πŸ™Œ

Then we'll see you on the book retrospective at the end of September @hansen .

Hi all. How can I sign up to the next zoom call? Still getting the hang of this, please bare with moi 😊

Hey Rick, not to worry - I think @luke is running the calendar so sending this note as a prompt to check you're on the invite - I assume he's used the same email as you registered to Keyy with.

At the beginning of each quarter, we send out a book club sign up where folks can join that quarter's club and tell us what topics they want to learn about. Keep your eyes peeled for the next one.

But in the meantime, happy to add you to the next meetup for this quarter πŸ˜ƒ @rick@rick

The book we're reading this quarter is, "The Hard Things about Hard Things" by Ben Horowitz. The next meeting is the retrospective = everyone's work to complete the book by then so we can discuss it. πŸ™‚

Who's pumped for Wednesday's retrospective on "The Hard Things About Hard Things?" :awsnap: πŸ“š

We will be discussing the second 1/2 of the book. So make sure to finish up your reading and/or refresh your mind on the topics and ideas.

Please come with some ideas, questions, and tactics to share with the group. Talk then! πŸ™Œ

Heart dismayed and broken for my inability to be present that this beautiful gathering (My bad attempt to sound shakespearean 😏)

Have a job interview at the same time.

Happy to say that the book is being read, and what a book! So needed in my life atm.

Dang it! I’m not going to be able to join today’s live book club session. I’ll check out the replay and then will meet you all in the comments.

Yes Yes Yes - these are always an amazing way for me to start my day β˜•οΈ

Thanks everyone who came and participated - great discussion. Makes my job easy when I can open with "What did you think of the book" and then we dive into 45 mins of amazing discussion. πŸ™‚

Those who couldn't attend - I'll post a recap, including recording, in the next 1-2 days. This recap will also include information about the Q4 book club which is about to kick off 😺

Yes! I saw a quote today in a meeting that made me think of our discussion.

"Every time we open our mouths, we create culture."

Not sure if this was mentioned here in Keyy before, but this book was just recommended to me and could be a great one for us to check out next Q: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/33517721-the-culture-code

sorry I can’t always attend the zooms, being in Australia would mean getting up at 3am. :(

Q3’s book is just amazing. IntroING chapters with rap verses and applying it back to the meaning of the chapter is hilarious. So grateful this book was chosen for this Quarter! Took so much out of it! thanks for leading this group Luke - stoked I get to bro down with people from around the world that love reading too πŸ€ŸπŸ½πŸ€™πŸ½

Did I miss the Q4 book and kickoff? I've been busy ramping up in a new position but would like to get back to this book club.
